Raleigh Tennis Association Executive Director


The Raleigh Tennis Association (RTA) Executive Director will be responsible for and manage all
operations of the organization to successfully promote and grow tennis throughout all of Raleigh’s
communities. The position reports to the RTA President to execute directives from the Board of
Directors and cause the RTA to accomplish its mission. Additionally, the Executive Director will generate
new ideas, initiatives, and methods to support this mission.

William Peace University


NCAA III Coach : needed for fall tennis season William Peace University needs an assistant coach to work with the men's and women's teams this fall in Raleigh NC. This will be a labor of love in the five-week fall non-traditional season, as assistant coaches are paid only during the spring season starting mid-January. WPU is starting a serious effort to climb the athletic ladder with new leadership administratively and athletically. The tennis courts are scheduled to be overhauled start mid-August, so our facility will be significantly improved as well.

Tennis Professional Position

Holly Springs, NC


Position will be responsible for professional work in planning, organizing, and scheduling all tennis programs for the Parks and Recreation department. Duties include but are not limited to developing and promoting tennis programs, managing all Parks and Recreation operated tennis facilities, providing quality tennis instruction and services, running the HSPR Junior Team Tennis program, advertising tennis leagues, selecting and supervising contracted tennis instructors, determining contractor payments, overseeing tennis events and tournaments, coordinating schedules for programs, managing reservations for tennis facilities, assisting with maintenance of facilities, determining equipment needs and recommending equipment purchases, developing and administering the annual tennis budget, providing customer service to answer questions and encourage program registrations, maintaining accurate records, and other various administrative duties. Position requires comprehensive knowledge of tennis skills, rules and strategies. Applicant should have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate effectively orally and in writing. Position will require a variable work schedule to include evenings and/or weekends. USPTA or USPTR certification preferred. 

Hiring rate: Stipend of $1000 per month. Program commission negotiable

Responsible for the marketing and promotion of all USTA leagues, programs, and events for the state of Tennessee. Oversee the planning and implementation of strategies for the growth and participation of all areas of the sport statewide. Serve as a resource for volunteers and staff alike to promote grass roots programming within communities and CTAs. Plan and manage current USTA TN events and tournaments as well as seek out and create new opportunities for promotion and play. Oversee and direct all multimedia and communication outlets for the organization. Work in partnership with both Sectional and National partners to reach the strategic goals of the state.


  • Bachelor degree required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of USTA Programming
  • Computer skills with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Publisher
  • Familiarity with Website content management
  • Tennis background preferable


  • Direct all aspects of Marketing and Promotion for USTA TN programs and events.
  • Assist Executive Director with Strategic Plans for Growth for membership and programming.
  • Develop and execute an overall Marketing Plan for the state of Tennessee.
  • Become a liaison and resource for CTA’s, facilities, tennis professionals, and communities statewide to promote and grow local programming and events.
  • Oversee and manage fundraising, sponsorship, and potential donor opportunities for the organization.
  • Assist, support and attend selected USTA TN events and tournaments.
  • Partner with USTA TN staff to plan and develop opportunities for cross program promotion for both adults and juniors.
  • Oversee the website management and content for the organization
  • Manage all Social Media, News Sources, Databases, E-blasts, and USTA TN Promotional Material.                                                                                           
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes.
  • Serve as the staff liaison for the USTA TN Marketing Committee.
  • Other duties as assigned.                                                                       


  • Attend the USTA Tennessee, Southern, and National Meetings when applicable.
  • Travel across Tennessee as necessary for Meetings and Events.
