USTA Rapid Rally Tennis

USTA Rapid Rally TennisIn Partnership with the US Olympic Committee

The United States Tennis Association is proud to introduce Rapid Rally Tennis in partnership with the US Olympic Committee. The US Junior Olympic Skills Competition presented by Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes is a FREE program for youngsters ages 8-13.

Junior Olympic Skills in an easily administered program in which boys and girls compete separately and may advance through three levels of competition. Every youngster has the opportunity to showcase their athletic abilities in four sports: Basketball, Soccer, USTA Rapid Rally Tennis, and Track & Field.

PROGRAM BENEFITS

  • Hosting a USTA Rapid Rally Tennis competition is FREE and easy to administer.
  • USTA Rapid Rally challenges youngsters to serve and continue to hit a low-compression tennis ball against the wall as many times as possible.
  • Participation is FREE for any child 8-13 (boys and girls compete separately)
  • 3 levels of competition, including a trip to the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO for the National Finals.
  • Facility Requirements - Any Wall!
  • Athletic equipment included (racquets and balls).

Three levels of competition include:

  • Local Qualifying Event: January – May, 2006
  • Regional Competition: June – mid July, 2006
  • National Finals: August, 2006

All youngsters competing at the Local Qualifying Event will receive a participation card. Prizes for age and gender group champions include ribbons and plaques. National Finalists receive a trip to the United States Olympic Training Center.
