Director of Parks and Recreation

Kinston/Lenoir County Parks and Recreation Department (Kinston, NC)

Under the general supervision of the City Manager, the Director plans, directs, manages and oversees the activities and operations of the Department including park maintenance, diverse recreation programs, community activities, athletic programs as well as coordinates joint activities with other agencies and organizations.  The Director  works in conjunction with the  Recreation Commission regarding recommendations for programming, facilities, and resources  He/she will be responsible for the development of the annual operating budget, capital requirements and the Parks and Recreation  Master Plan, which includes long-range goals and objectives.

This role will lead the capture and growth of key accounts by understanding needs, requirements, buying habits, the marketplace, and our products combined with the ability to build and maximize successful relationships with coaches and club directors. Successful candidates will ideally have expertise in volleyball or tennis or other sports. Your compensation is directly tied to your success in growing accounts.

Tennis Court Maintenance

Hope Valley Farms YMCA (Durham, NC)

Under the supervision of the Tennis Director, the tennis maintenance staff is responsible for performing maintenance functions as assigned to assure that the tennis courts and surrounding area is maintained in a clean, safe, and playable manner. He/she will be responsible for managing those functions in accordance with the stated mission, goals, and policies established by the Board of Directors, governing committees, and administrative staff of the YMCA of the Triangle Area.

Tennis Instructor (Youth & Adults)

Hope Valley Farms YMCA (Durham, NC)

Under the supervision of the Healthy Living Director, the assistant tennis professional is responsible for the instruction of a variety of socials and clinics for juniors and adults, as well as private lessons. Candidate will also be involved with the management and operation of the tennis facility (we have 6 clay courts). Candidate is responsible for managing those functions in accordance with the stated mission and policies established the YMCA.
