We are heading back to Pinehurst for our Tennis Weekend January 26-29, 2012 at the beautiful Carolina Hotel!

What is Tennis Weekend? Tennis Weekend began in the 1970’s to allow a time for all of North Carolina’s tennis population to come together. Traditionally, meetings are held for the tennis professionals, tournament directors, USTA NORTH CAROLINA committees, NC Tennis Foundation Board of Directors and the USTA North Carolina Board of Directors. The Annual meetings of the USTA North Carolina and the North Carolina Tennis Foundation are held. Again this year we will have an expanded vendor show. The culmination of the weekend is the NC Tennis Hall of Fame dinner and induction ceremony. Going into our NC Tennis Hall of Fame will be Ron Smarr of Houston, TX, and Keith Stoneman of Charlotte. To take advantage of our incredible hotel rate ($130 for single room occupancy and $75/person for double occupancy) please fill out a Room Reservation Form. After December 27th all room rates are subject to increase, so please make your plans before Tuesday, December 27, 2011! You must use this form to secure a room reservation at the Carolina Hotel. Please note the Volunteer Support Policy.

NCTF Board of Directors, USTA NORTH CAROLINA Board of Directors, Committee Members, Tournament Directors, Teaching Professionals and Vendors will need to also fill out a Tennis Weekend Main Registration Form. Your guests are NOT required to fill out a separate form but will need to be accounted for in your meal reservations. The registration form will indicate the total amount owed for meals. Please send a check, made payable to USTA NORTH CAROLINA, for this full amount by Friday, January 6, 2012 and send to the USTA North Carolina, 2709 Henry St, Greensboro, NC 27405.

• If you are ONLY coming to the Saturday Night Hall of Fame Ceremony, please make dinner reservations by filling out the Hall of Fame Guest Dinner Reservation Form. The registration form will indicate the total amount owed for meals. Please send a check, made payable to USTA NORTH CAROLINA, for this full amount by Friday, January 6, 2012 and send to the USTA North Carolina, 2709 Henry St, Greensboro, NC 27405.
• If you are ONLY coming to the Saturday Night Hall of Fame Ceremony and are an NC Tennis Hall of Fame Member, please make dinner reservations by filling out the Hall of Fame Member Dinner Reservation Form. The registration form will indicate the total amount owed for meals. Schedule Overview

As an added twist on our agenda this year, we welcome Robert C Harris, CAE of Harris Management Group. Bob has 25 plus years of experience with associations, chambers and other nonprofits. He has been with us at the Community Development Workshop before and brings his knowledge of how boards should be run and what they should know to us once again. We will ask the USTA North Carolina Board to go through at least one of his training sessions, but we invite CTA leaders and others to attend one of the three available sessions.

Also new this year is a little different look to our Tennis Professionals workshop being held again on Friday, the 27^th.  The workshop will feature Geoff Russell for USTA Player Development. This is will be a High Performance Quickstart Workshop. To attend, please email kelly@nctennis.com. Again, this will replace the traditional USPTA Workshop.
