The USTA North Carolina Board of Directors passed a historic plan in January of 2011 to impact the growth of Tennis in our state. Due to the ever expanding tennis public in NC, the Board created a special reserve account for 2011 to impact refurbishing public tennis facilities in NC. The Board voted in January of 2013 to continue this plan.  This account, along with matching USTA funds, will allow a total investment of up to $200,000 in assistance throughout our state. The fund is not for new facilities, but for public facilities to resurface and/or convert existing courts that are in disrepair and to help support the growth of 10 and Under tennis in North Carolina. This endeavor is to compliment the already popular USTA National Facility Assistance Program and may allow facilities to receive grant funding of up to 75% of the project cost. We are excited to share this investment throughout our state and "Raise the Net" in your local community.

In order to submit an application for consideration for this money here are the following steps:

1. Please read the 2013 Guide To Facility Assistance Program
2. Please fill out the USTA Facility Assistance Form
3. Please fill out the USTA North Carolina Facility Assistance Form
4. Once ALL of this information has been provided to the USTA, a USTA facility consultant will contact you for the next steps.
5. USTA North Carolina will not know the amount of your potential award until ALL the steps above have been completed AND you receiving your funding letter from USTA. That will be very far along into the process.  You will need to know your commitment long before the USTA North Carolina award is established.

Timeline for USTA North Carolina project:

• If you would like to be considered for this project, please send in the attached form. 

• We will accept further applications as funding is available
• Once approved entity has 45 days to commence the project

If your project is not chosen as one of the USTA North Carolina projects, it will still remain in the queue for possible USTA funding.
