2013 State Championships

13 More State Champions Crowned at Combo Doubles

GREENSBORO, NC (Nov. 12, 2012) – Week two of the North Carolina Southern Combo Doubles State Championships in Wilmington concluded last weekend as more than 120 teams competed for one of 13 Sectional berths.  Eno River, Lake Norman and Metro paced the way as the only areas to record multiple winners. All three crowned a trio of state champions. 

Week two of the tournament, which took place Nov. 8-11, wrapped up two weeks of exciting tennis on the east coast. All together, the state championships featured more than 2,400 players and 230 teams.

Week One of the tournament included 5.5, 7.5 and 9.5 levels at the adult, senior and super senior divisions. Week two featured the 5.0, 6.5, and 8.5 levels. Winners at the adult level advance to Southern Sectionals in Mobile, Ala. March 1-3, 2013, while the senior/super senior winners will play in Dothan, Ala. March 8-10, 2013.
