The ATANC’s goal is to offer support, training and events for children and adults with intellectual disabilities in the sport of tennis.  The RTA and ATANC together are working to “grow the seeds of tennis in our adaptive communities,” says Sue Flanagan, Community Coordinator, Raleigh Tennis Association.

The “Spring Swing” Round robin, registration open to all, will be a heartwarming night of tennis involving adaptive players teamed with local tennis enthusiasts in our community. In addition, the event will include a dinner, silent auction, raffle and exhibition matches highlighting ATANC players and local Raleigh tennis professionals.

Kirstie Marx, Executive Director of the ATANC, has served as Director of the Tennis Sports Development Team for Special Olympics North Carolina for 5 years. Kirstie's positive attitude encourages all involved with USTA tennis to reach out to these special athletes.

“With the passion of Kirstie Marx, and local tennis players in Raleigh, we are putting our words into action,” says Susan Flanagan.
