UNC Wins Third Straight Border Battle!

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill won its third consecutive Border Battle which was held in Wilmington March 19-20! The back-to-back-to-back Champion Tarheels defeated the Gamecocks from the University of South Carolina in a final that was settled on the…ping-pong table. While all of Saturday’s matches were played outside, inclement weather forced the finals to be moved indoors on Sunday.

TOC National Championship Comes to Cary

The 2012 Tennis on Campus National Championship is coming to the Cary Tennis Park April 12-14 and North Carolina will be represented by four universities. Duke, UNC, Davidson and Elon will join 60 other universities from across the country as they battle for a national title. TOC Border Battle on the Banks

Rain couldn’t put a damper on the Inaugural Border Battle on the Banks held at the Westside Athletic Club in Powells Point, NC March 2-4. This event, created by USTA Virginia and USTA North Carolina, allowed Tennis on Campus teams from both states to meet up at a popular tourist destination, the beaches of the Outer Banks. Teams were given a unique opportunity to play all teams who entered in the draw in the standard World Team Tennis format, while enjoying beach front views from their hotel after long days of matches.

UNC Club Tennis Captures TOC Southern Title

Eight teams competing in the 2012 USTA Tennis On Campus Southern Championship in Auburn, Ala. Feb. 26 have earned bids to the national USTA Tennis On Campus Championship.
 
North Carolina’s "A" team won the championship by defeating Alabama. North Carolina’s "B" team defeated Elon in the Non-BCS division but did not receive a national bid because only one team can receive a bid from the same college or university.
