HOW CAN YOU ADVOCATE FOR TENNIS?

Tennis has enjoyed a long run that has not caused us to advocate for our sport for new or refurbished courts. Since the upsurge in players due to COVID and a renewed discovery of our great game, plus some external forces, we need to advocate for more courts and refurbished courts. It can be daunting to go before our Public officials to speak on behalf of tennis. Here are a few items and ideas to help.
First and foremost, you are not alone. Tennis needs to speak with one united voice for tennis. When there is a fragmented message, confusion reigns! North Carolina has a wonderful network of Community Tennis Associations who are organized and can speak for tennis. Click here to see our network and contacts.
Many of our CTA’s have Advocacy Specialists. To begin to reach out to the CTA’s who do contact the CTA’s or Kelly Gaines.
USTA’S National Advocacy committee has created this handbook to help you begin to think about how to advocate for our sport
